Restorative + Special Classes
-
Release the tension from the week to start your weekend! Class begins with 15 minutes of guided breathwork (Pranayama) to prepare the mind and body for practice. Once centered, you'll transition into a series of mostly, floor-based shapes held for 5 to 7 minutes each. These longer holds aren’t about muscular effort; they are designed to reach the "tightly wound" areas of tension in your inner architecture—like the hips, spine, and shoulders. By staying still in these shapes, we allow the body to unwind on a deeper level and conclude with a long, restful savasana.
-
This class begins with a gentle flow to connect with the breath and stretch the body, followed by longer restorative poses to relax the body and mind. No yoga experience is required and options are available for students with injuries, pregnancy, and other bodily considerations. Includes optional distance and hands-on reiki.
-
Sunday morning F+R begins with a mindful, exploratory flow connecting your breath with movement in a fluid and intentional sequence that encourages you to explore the capabilities of your body and promotes flexibility, strength, and body awareness. Guided by a focus on the present moment, this flow serves as a moving meditation, allowing you to tune into the sensations of each pose.
We'll transition into a restorative yoga practice designed to help release tension, restore energy, and promote relaxation in a series of nurturing postures held for longer durations, encouraging a deep release of physical and mental stress.
This class is suitable for anyone looking to deepen their yoga practice, reduce stress, or simply explore mindful movement.
Wednesday evening F+R is an integration of vinyasa and restorative yoga principles. We'll spend the first half of class moving through a sequence of shapes to build warmth and awareness in the body. For the second portion, we'll hold passive restorative poses to explore deep relaxation and conscious rest. Come connect with your body through a balance of nourishing movement and rest.
-
A floor-based, gentle, mindful flow that focuses on releasing tension in the body and mind to create a sense of calm and well-being. There are no standing postures in this class, and all levels are welcome.
-
Urban Zen is a restorative yoga practice for all levels of experience and wellness that incorporates mindful movement (in a chair or on the floor), restorative yoga, breath awareness, body awareness meditations, reiki, and essential oils. We recommend dressing in layers to provide comfort as your body temperature may drop with relaxation.

This class is suitable for practitioners of all levels, including beginners and those with an existing practice looking to refine alignment. You’ll flow at a slower pace here, with alignment cues and explanation or demo of poses.
-
This class is suitable for practitioners working on basic skills who are looking to transition into Level II. Here you’ll learn intricate alignment with limited teacher demo and a focus on recognizing verbal cues. You’ll flow at a slower pace in this level, with an emphasis on building skills to keep up with Level II. This level is not suitable for complete beginners.
-
This class is suitable for those practitioners with an existing practice who are able to flow through poses more quickly. While some alignment will be reviewed as a reminder, this level is not suitable for complete beginners and will not include demonstration of poses.
