Thai Yoga
Bodywork with Jun

Meet Jun

Originally from Japan, Jun was taught the philosophy of “Metta”—loving kindness through Buddhist culture—her work is always from the heart, and each receiver of her Thai Yoga Bodywork will feel the power of loving kindness through her compassionate touch.

Jun became a Thai Yoga Bodywork practitioner in 2017 and holds Thai Massage Level 1, 2, 3 and 4 certifications. From her own experience of improving her ability to handle the stress of urban living, and chronic pain from a herniated lumbar disc, she believes strongly in the beautiful healing art form of Thai Yoga Bodywork and Yoga, and she continues to study to find more ways to help people.

Thai Yoga Bodywork is a combination of the best of yoga and the best of massage—based on an ancient healing system. All the best parts of a yoga class without any of the work!  You’ll be guided and assisted through floor based yoga poses with assisted stretching and strategic pressure along the body’s energy lines and points to release tension and stress from the body.

FAQs

What can I expect during my session?

Upon arrival, you’ll be guided to the treatment room where you and your practitioner will talk about your areas of concern, focus, and preferences for the session. A session will then be clearly communicated along with the space for any questions and considerations.

It is performed on a floor mat in comfortable clothes with calm music, unless you prefer silence. Consented contact/touch begins every session and is maintained throughout. Sessions typically end with gentle massage of the neck, head, and face, in tandem with the use of aroma oils, unless you prefer not to receive it.

At the end of your session, you and your practitioner will have the opportunity to talk about the experience of the session and any professional recommendations to further support your progress and well-being.

What are the effects of a Thai Yoga Bodywork session?

It can help to release muscular tension and stress from your body and mind. And It also helps to increase circulation and flexibility. Clients often feel realigned, open, and deeply relaxed from the power of loving and kindness through the practitioner’s compassionate touch.

Can I talk during my session?

Absolutely! We encourage any amount of communication that provides comfort and shapes the co-creative experience of therapeutic care. Importantly, communicating any discomfort, concerns, techniques and contact preferences.
